On behalf of the conference organizing committee, I am pleased to present the preliminary program for CAPAL17: Foundations & Futures: Critical Reflections on the Pasts, Presents, and Possibilities of Academic Librarianship, the fourth annual conference of the Canadian Association of Professional Academic Librarians (CAPAL). We are excited to welcome our keynote speakers, Harsha Walia, a South Asian activist formally trained in the law and the author of the award-winning book Undoing Border Imperialism and, Lisa Sloniowski, Associate Librarian at York University and co-investigator on the SSHRC-funded Feminist Porn Archive and Research Project.
