Anglo-Saxon Poetics in Contemporary Poetry.

We invite paper submissions on accentual and alliterative rhythm, syntax, and structure in modern and contemporary poetry since Hopkins (with particular attention to Ted Hughes, who claims for accentual verse a central place in the development of English poetry). We also encourage the submission of proposals on the frequently cited preference for Germanic root words over Latinate.
