Call for Papers: Gesta The ICMA journal Gesta publishes original research on medieval art and architecture. The journal embraces all facets of artistic production from ca. 200 to ca. 1500 C.E. in every corner of the medieval world. The editors are interested in expanding the coverage of the journal with articles on areas that are currently underrepresented in Gesta, including but not limited to Africa, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Islamic world broadly defined. Authors do not have to be members of the International Center of Medieval Art in order to submit articles. There is no word or image limit for Gesta articles. The journal uses a double-blind review process. It is published by the University of Chicago Press both in print and online. Gesta is indexed and abstracted in all major services for the social sciences and humanities, including EBSCOhost, Elsevier BV, Gale, OCLC, ProQuest and Thomson-Reuters Web of Science Core Collection. Instructions for authors to use in preparing their manuscripts for submission can be found here: https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/journals/GES/instruct Authors must use the Editorial Manager platform for submissions: https://www.editorialmanager.com/ges/default.aspx Before beginning a submission to Editorial Manager, authors should consult the detailed instructions for the steps to follow in uploading their submissions: https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/journals/ges/em-guidelines The editors, Susan Boynton and Diane J.
