Studies in Medievalism
I would like to invite you to submit short proposals for contributions to two sections sponsored by Studies in Medievalism and Medievally Speaking at next year's Kalamazoo congress:
1) Imagining the Crusades in the Nineteenth Century. We welcome any and all contributions that consider the medieval crusades in literature, music, the fine arts, politics, etc. This is a traditional session with three to four 20-minute papers.
2) Coming to Terms with Medievalism. For this round table, we welcome contributions that would extend existing conceptual histories of the English term, "medievalism," to other languages/linguistic traditions/cultures. For the Anglophone world, HERE is a recent definition of the conceptual history of the English term I published in the European Journal of English Studies.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
